Summer is a great time for scholars to stay engaged and continue building skills. Below are optional, at-home learning opportunities families can use to support continued growth in a fun and flexible way.

📖 Summer Reading

To support continued learning over the summer, students are encouraged to engage in reading that builds comprehension and a love for literature.

📚 Grade-Level Reading Selections

  • Rising 6th Grade: Restart
  • Rising 7th & 8th Grade: City Spies

The books will be distributed to every rising 7th and 8th grade student prior to summer break.

➗ Summer Math Practice

Students are encouraged to continue strengthening their math skills over the summer through consistent practice.

  • Continue working on recommended skills in IXL
  • Practice regularly to maintain and build math proficiency
